Commercial Description:
STRONG AMBER ALE with a deep copper hue, full body, and a big hop finish. This beer is definitely for the person who loves hops. The complex flavors are further enhanced with maturing over oak.

On tap. Clear, warm reddish amber with an off-white head leaving laces. Burned caramel and a little nuts in the nose. Quite full-bodied, sweet burned caramel and nuts with solid aroma hops that come late and leave a solid bitterness. 120709

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and light roasted malty. Hoppy, dense overripe fruity and mild liqourice spiced. Medium bitter, roasted and dry finish.

On tap. The beer pours out a clear medium amber/copper color with a tight off-white head. Aroma is light grapefruit, some caramel. Flavor has a non-offensive blend of sweet malt and bitter hops, although they seem a bit undefinted. Easy to drink. Kinda forgettable though.

Poured from tap at brewery a brown-amber with small off-white head. Aromas is big with floral hoppiness which gives off lemony-orange citrus notes. Flavor is much the same with floral hops, lemon, orange, and gratefruit together with a bready caramel all ending a lingering citrus peel bitterness. The palate is slightly sticky sweet with a good balance of sweet to bitter although the two seem a bit disjointed at times. Overall, good flavor and balance, a nice beer I’d drink again.

Tap @ brewpub: Clear, dark amber color with a small off-white head and sticky lacing. Mild hop aroma with a definite hop presence in the taste. The bitter flavor that follows is of the unpleasant hairspray variety. At least it has a smooth feel.
