Hazy reddish broan ale with no head. Sweet raisin malt with nice hop notes, and alcohol vapours. Good sweet malt with a big dose of c-hops, good oily mouthfeel, viscous, and nice alcohol warmth. Some licorice notes developping. Rich and smooth. On tap, August 2005.

02.20.05 Tap at Toronado BWF Big bubbles over and throughout a dark brown beer. Smells buttery, maybe a bit oxidized. Vanilla and oakey. Light biscuit. Sweet. Little heat or hops. Raisin and fig. So-so but quite drinkable.

This dark brown ale poured with a nice off-white head, eliciting a caramel-like aroma. The flavor is rich and somewhat fruity (raisins?), with a dry finish. This is a nice brew.
