Mar 26, 2008 Tap & Cask @ brewpub: Clear amber color with an off-white head. The aroma shows a balance of hops and malts. There is kind of a burn/bite to it with flavors that resemble peat, shoe leather and musty basement. I guess I didn’t like this one - lacking flavor.

Apr 20, 2007 Sampler at the Brew pub, 3/31/07. The speciality ale on draft of the bunch. Pours deep amber with a thin white head. No nose. Malty balanced taste more malty than hoppy. Decent.

May 3, 2006 Draft. Copper color with a thin off-white head. Fresh citrus hop aroma with toasted malt. Woodys/tannic/acetic malt flavor with some fruitiness.

Mar 6, 2002 Rounded hop and body feel from possible oxidation and thick body, a bit of caramel and apple fruit, roasty notes, tannic finish. Semi-dry to semi-sweet.
