GG (1613), NorCal, California, USA Jul 24, 2009 On tap. The beer has a nice roasted malt, coffee/choco aroma offset by some light cream notes and raisins. A thick, creamy tan head tops the beer. Flavors consist mostly of roasted malt notes, chcolate, dark fruits and a light touch of toffee. Residual sweetness seems tamed, and the alcohol content also is very well hidden. Always a nice beer to go to. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Jul 19, 2009

anders37 (4516), Malmö, Sweden Mar 13, 2009 Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a black color with a longlasting tan head. Has a roasted malty coffee aroma. Roasted malty coffee, chocolate and licorice flavor. Has a long roasted malty coffee finish with a long bitter aftertaste. rayOfBeer (316), El Cerrito, California, USA Sep 5, 2008 Poured from tap at the brewery an inky black with small creamy tan head. Flavor is a combination of bittersweet dark chocolate, powdery dark grains and coffee with a touch of dark fruit and oats. The palate starts powdery dry and finishes bitter sweet with some charcoal at the end. It is also thick, malty and smooth creamy. No detectable alcohol for a 10 percenter. Overall, a nice sipping, flavorful imp stout. pinkzambia (986), Boise, Idaho, USA Mar 26, 2008 Tap @ brewpub: Inky black with a light brown head and sticky lacing. The aroma is overwhelmingly sweet, too sweet -- all alcohol. It has weird flavors of a mix of bitter coffee, fermaldahyde, urine and alcohol. This has the potential of being good, but yuck.
