phishpond417 (1456), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA May 18, 2008 Bright golden colour, lightly malted with citrusy taste initially, and very fruit forward on the nose. Very light and wheaty, and if you miss it, you might not notice the tiny bit of hops. Weak for an APA. BillKismet (1439), Seattle, Washington, USA Mar 31, 2008 Copper colored with decent head. Balanced hop aroma and flavor with a nice linger bitterness and an interesting malt body. A quenching, easy flavored APA. after4ever (1751), Brier, Washington, USA Nov 10, 2007 Draft at the Pac Rim tasting room. Crystal clear medium gold. Thin white head. Good webs of lace. Bread doughy, yeasty, and sweat on the nose. Medium body, tingly carb. Not too much happening on the mid-palate. Kind of apricot-like if anything. Neutral finish. awaisanen (1157), Irvine, California, USA Jul 4, 2007 On tap at the Liberty Bar. Pours a mostly transparent, light brassy color with bronzish hues and a thin layer of quickly dissipating, sizzling off-white head. Coppery malt aroma with a touch of grassy hops. Light bodied, crisply refreshing mouthfeel. Flavors of clover honey and bran muffin start out the palate, accompanied by a hint of rye. As the malts start to fade, a powerful wave of penny flavored hops form a bitter finish, providing a disappointing conclusion to an otherwise satisfying beer. BückDich (4558), Boise, Idaho, USA Feb 11, 2007 Tap: Light hazy blond color, light white head, nice lacing. Nose of light malt and husk, some grassy hop. The flavor is thin but has a moderately malty body for a golden ale (or APA as it is). Honey and grass in the finish.
