pintbypint (879), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Apr 5, 2008 Sample from can at Edmonton International Beerfest ’08. Amber coloured with a wispy soapy white head. Caramel and grain aroma, fairly light. Flavour is similar - caramel malts. Faint hop note (grassy) in the finish. Prickly carbonation. Light bodied. Papsoe (9980), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 2, 2007 (Can 35,5 cl) Pours a dark brown with a tint of red. Small tan head. Medium body, vaguely roasted malt flavours and a touch of sweetish caramel. Discreet touch of hops in the finish. At least great to find something different than Pale lagers... 040792 Tipsy_McStager (818), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Apr 18, 2007 Blech... pous a flat reddish brown, sparse aroma. Detectable malts with a sour finish. Not enjoyable CapFlu (3254), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Sep 30, 2006 (Bottle) Purchased at the BC Liquor Store in Oak Bay, Victoria. Pours a thin, lasting beige head with a deep brown body. An oily caramel Aroma. Texture is remarkably thin and oily. I found the flavour to be mildly nutty with hints of wood ships. Bland and boring beer. DuffMan (1915), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Jul 5, 2006 This is like an amber ale without any flavour or character. It’s a nice looking dark amber beer that is quite watery with only the faintest caramel flavour. Disappointing.
