ratman197 (2184), Arvada, Colorado, USA May 6, 2008 Bottle poured a clear pale yellow with a small quickly disapating white head. Aromas of graininess, straw and a hint of citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of water and light straw with a crisp clean finish.
DrZao (49), Houston, Texas, USA Jul 21, 2008 Typical characteristics of many Mexican pale lagers, but instantly noted a unique flavor, perhaps bready as some other reviewers suggested. It stood out instantly from Corona on the first taste. Perhaps not complex but certainly nice for hot weather in Texas. cazort (325), San Diego, California, USA Jul 21, 2008 (Bottle) Do I prefer this to the other Mexican lagers? No. Decent, but I didn’t notice anything about it to set it apart. A somewhat bready aroma, barely noticeable hops. I have a hard time understanding why the same brewery would brew so many similar beers. I would prefer this one to Corona, but I would probably choose Modelo Especial over this one. Is the difference particularly noticeable, however? No. elihapa (200), Hawaii, USA Jul 14, 2008 bottle. Smell is macro swill grain and car oil, with a bit of malt. Flavor is sweetish, with some grain and maltiness. Certainly not my favorite, but it tops corona and most light beers, so that’s gotta be a plus for beating the summer heat! thornecb (975), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Jul 12, 2008 Pours bright yellow into a shaker. Bright white head quickly bubbles out. Sweet malt and adjunct aromas. Thin, watery with a slightly bitter metallic finish. RunDWP (110), San Jose, California, USA Jul 6, 2008 22oz. bottle. Better than average pale lager. Detected a slight carmel note underneath the light hops flavor. A little high in carbination hurt its easy drinkability, but good for what it is.
