Beershine (1440), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Sep 28, 2008 Clear dark red, tan head and lacing. Fruit skins and jam in the aroma. Soft mouthfeel, thin palate. Malty, thin, with hints of black cherry. Not roasty. Decent session beer. Lady_Cooper (100), Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada Mar 13, 2007 Dark amber colour with a tan head. Toffee and orange aroma and a solid roasted malt flavour that was a bit fruity, not bitter at all. It was a little over-carbonated, but aside from that, a decent beer. jerc (3217), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 14, 2005 Dark brown, not quite black body with a small tan head. Very muted aroma, sweet malt and mild roast. Flavour is similar in to the aroma with a muted overall impression, but mild roast lingers delicately in the finish. Creamy, medium palate still fills a touch light for the beer. beerbuzzmontreal (2747), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Aug 12, 2005 Pours a clear reddish brown color with a ring of offwhite lace. Intriguing aroma of smoked malt and caramel. Flavor of smoked malt and caramel. Medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation. Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Dec 23, 2003 Updated: Sep 25, 2008Dark amber colour. Malty aroma is toffeeish with orange, cherry esters and raisin bread. Light bodied with a good dose of smoke, hints of cherry, toffee. For its strength, this really tastes like a mild. A fun one at that.
