Bottled. Poured paler golden with a short-lived cap of white head. The aroma picked up toasted lemon zest, floral notes, and vegetal character with just a little spice.. not sure what was up here. The flavor wasn’t any better.. soggy, uninspired grains, cardboard, and vegetal notes again at the core, with just a little fruity bitterness around.. weak finish with some tartness. Light-bodied and watery on the palate.. none of the components were interesting, and what was there didn’t flow well. This was bad.

12oz bottle. Hazy pale orange-yellow color with a minimal oily head. Sweet sugary malt aroma. I question this as being classified as an APA, certainly comes off like a sessionable Golden Ale. Crisp, with a touch of lemon up front, but then quickly fades into a rather insipid, watery sweetness. Maybe a touch of soapy bitterness in the aftertaste. Not much going on with this one, not offensively bad, just a little underwhelming.

Not sure what the correct style for this beer is. All it says is golden ale on their website, and my first guess is a kolsch. Deep golden color, darker than a german pils but still golden of course. Lots of belgian lace from the contrasting white head. On the nose I detect a doughy aroma - maybe shortbread cookie dough or homemade bread dough. Lots of herbal character on the palate. Based on appearance I was initially expecting a light bodied and crisp pils taste but the herbs are quite dominant. Hops balance right away, leading to a dry finish. Very refreshing, and oh sooo drinkable.

Hazy yellow-orange with a large white head that extends beyond the glass and then fades away at a medium pace. Aroma of grain, malt and grassy hops. Taste of grassy and earthy hops, lemon and malt. Lively carbonation, feels forced. Kind of bland.

12 oz bottle-pours a thin white head with a hazy yellow color. Aroma is wheat, grain. Taste is wheat, grain-slight sweet, mild hops. Good carbonation.

12 oz. bottle into tulip glass. Purchased at some grocery store in Brookfield, WI sometime in 2004. Eh. Vague spiciness and skunk on the nose. Dark golden color and clear, with visible carbonation and a frothy beige head that mostly dies over time. Flavor is almost all hops, but not of the best character. Starts kind of floral, which is ok, but then gets metallic real quick and stays oxidized through the finish. Bitter in a sharp, not-rounded and kind of unpleasant way. Medium bodied.

12oz bottle. Poured a deep and hazy golden color wtih a large sized white head. Real faint aromas of citrus with some sweet malts. Tastes of citrus, lemons, with a honey sweetness to it. Thin and somewhat watery body. There’s nothing really offensive about this one, but there really isn’t anything that makes it stand out or memorable.
