Commercial Description:
PALM Ale has long been one of Europe’s top-selling specialty beers. Made with English hops, French Barley, and Belgian yeast, PALM represents the best of European beer-making traditions. It’s the roasted Champagne Malt which gives PALM its amber color, but without being heavy. Also available bottle-conditioned as Palm Hergist.

Sampled on 12/9/2009. This Belgian Ale pours a medium amber color from a 33cl bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head, with decent retention and nice lacing. The aroma is caramel and sweet with some floral hops. A medium to light bodied Belgian Ale. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are floral and earthy. Lively carbonation. Reminds me a whole lot of a an American Amber Ale, but not quite as sweet. Light and refreshing. Very drinkable. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Pours a golden color with almost no head. Faint aroma is a bit leathery and has some fruity notes, but not very pleasant. Flavor is bitter and a bit sour, reminding me of cheap ale.

Pretty good belgium beer with a lot of hops and easily drinkable the flavor is a very roasty malt with some complex features not found in other beers. I was surprised to find this beer in the local grocery and it was a rather good choice

Rich amber color; Medium body; Aroma of malt & bread; Flavor primarily of slight sweet malt, some fruit and citrus; A little uninspired for a Belgian brew - but still ok.

Color red-amber with beautiful adherent foam. The aroma mainly of malt is definite. Medium body where the end is slightly of citrus fruit.
