A Mes rate: draught at ’t Vosken.
Forgot I had had this one. Noticed it on someone elses list which prompted some notebook searching. Sometime later I have tracked it down. How the hell did I not enter this. All the others are listed. Maybe I was too excited about the Rodenbach Foederbier, Draught Batch Zero Black Albert and the Cantillon Framboise that preceeded it. Perfectly forgivable I reckon. Straight forward Palm but unfiltered. As expected it makes a fairly significant difference. Lots of caramel, dark fruit and Belgian yeasty notes but the hops sing much more than the regular. And for that I found it quite enjoyable.

From tap de Zalm, Roeselare. Pours hazy orange with a huge white head. Mild fruity and slight citric aroma. Vague butterish, malty and slight yeasty fruity flavoured. Light acidic touch into a yeasty and malty finish. Caramel and butterish.

Draught at Engelbewaarder in Amsterdam. Unclear, dark golden with a small but lasting white head. Not very strong, but quite fruity aroma with some malt. Flavor is refreshing, light malty, quite fruity, some citric sourness, a bit sweet and a light balanced bitterness. Totally OK, but I was expecting a bit more from the hype.

Cask at Bankers Draft (JDW), Bedford. Copper amber. Odd fruity aroma. The nearest I could come to describing it was banana. Taste had some pineapple sourness, but the banana flavour was once again evident. No bitterness. Curious beer, not to my taste.

Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading - as Palm Cask Ale, quoted ABV of 5% Hazy amber with a soapy looking off-white head that laced the glass very nicely; tropical fruit aroma; honey and tropical fruit flavours with pineapple and mango to the fore, nicely balanced and not over-sweet; bready, light caramel finish. Very, very pleasant.

Handpumped at De Zalm, Roeselare. Acidic aroma, slightly moldy, hint of citrus fruit. Cloudy dark orange colour. Big stable, Kräusen-like head. The flavour is quite citric, dry lemon flavour, some woody notes. A little grapefruit bitterness. Quite complex. Thinnish mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Nothing like a regular Palm.
