Draft. Clear gold. Nose is malt, light alcohol, and ripe fruits. Taste is alcohol soaked fruits, sweet malts, light yeast, and light spice. Body is medium with a moderate carbonation feel. Finishes much the same but there seems to be light banana sstepping into the mix along with some dry grains.

Draught: Golden coloured. Unclear. Off white head. Fruits, yeast and some spices in the aroma. Quite bland. Flavour is fruity as well. Has some caramelly notes. Yeast is detectable. Is generally quite bland. Thin bodied and quite watery mouthfeel. Ends on a light spiced note.

Dark golden with small (but persistent) head. Small clouds floating in the glass. Spicy yeast and malt aroma. Flavour is sweet caramel flavour, yet well-balanced. Medium body. Soft and comfortable, well-made, a session beer for the quality-conscious.

a sim rate: (On tap at Paradise Beer Weekend, Brussels 2005). Tastes just like a Palm, just a more blonde version. Malty. Very drinkable, but not much to it. Spicy aftertaste.

(Bottle 33 cl) Dark golden - or light amber if you prefer - with a creamy, white head. Distinct caramel in both aroma and flavour with quite some malty sweetness and a rather warming alcohol. Bitterness is almost absent. A "Speciale" that’s a bit stronger than usual, but basically not very spectacular. 030905
