Sweet and fruity, soft and rounded, buttery and mild , medium-full bodied. A bit thick and syrupy. Despite it’s size it’s not very flavourful, and appears a bit bold. oh6gdx (9047), Vasa, Finland

Aroma is malts, grass, some mild fruits and also some hints of caramel. Flavour is also quite much caramel along with some fruits and grassyness. Alcohol does give some glueish notes in the flavour. Aftertaste is slightly frutiy, quite earthy and some grassy notes. Very refreshing, even though it’s quite high ABV. MoritzF (4995), Bochum, Germany

Sweet, bready, cara-malty and slightly sourish fruity nose. Sweet flavour with a tinge of acidity, medium body impression at most, moderately carbonated mouthfeel. Cara-malty, slightly bready and minimal fruity taste; sweet malty finish with slightly tart and bitter flavours. Rather weak pale Ale (29.01.08). Driftwood6 (214), USA

It was actually about what I expected. Any Belgian eyast is very subdued-- nothing to turn off the masses. It was kind of orange in color and a little fruity/pumpkin in flavor? Not really sure what style it is--- I guess it’s better than Bud or Foster’s. On this ship they also have Murphy’s on tap-- almost scared to try it and see how fresh the ked is and how clean the lines are. BTW-- the food on this ship is awful. I’m going back to Princess in the future-- mcuh better food and service. Slacks (487), Bolton, Ontario, Canada

The pour sparked a slightly inebriated discussion of whether it was "orange or pumpkin" with no decisive winner, but we knew it offered a foamy white head. Aroma suffered from an inappropriate glass but I definitely pulled out the typical belgian spices and citrusy fruits. Flavour was quite nice, and not overly carbonated in the mouthfeel. Good spice accents, stone fruits, and malty sweetness. It became my cruising "go-to", although as noted, possibly by default. Slayer85 (587), Firenze, Italy
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 10, 2008 Bottled. A clear deep golden beer with a medium sized but disappearing white head. Sweet and malty aroma with some fruity notes (banana), almost no hops and a hint of alcohol. The flavour is sweet, with some fruitiness (banana and too much apple) and the alcohol is not well hidden, but overall warming. Very light hop bitterness in the finish. Medium to full body, lively carbonation. A bit rough and with too much alcohol felt, but after all not unpleasant. TorbenH (136), Frederikshavn, Denmark
