| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 21, 2007 Bottle, bought @ some supermarket in Belgium. Pours a clear pale amber. Small off white film head. Aroma is malty with lots of caramel and some slight dark fruit tones and pear. Rather lively mouthfeel. Flavour is a bit harsh, sweet pilsner-ish maltyness balanced poorly by a lot of alcohol. A slight fruityness appears in there as well. beastiefan2k (1608), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 13, 2007 Kiev airport bar called Belgian Beer Cafe, seems to be a chain, this is the only beer not available in the States. Color is completely clear amber orange but too much refracting light to clearly see through it. No head, with a thin halo lacing. Aroma is burnt malts with light pear fruitiness, kind of cheap and faintly medicinal. Taste is cheap metallic fruits with light pilsner malts and a light cheap sweetness. Light bodied but with a harsh, overly-aggressive mouthfeel. Ukraine trip, 33cl bottle BB 29//11/07, Stella Artois glass. fonefan (11890), VestJylland, Denmark
