elihapa (1033), Honolulu, California, USA Nov 8, 2009 On tap, Chili Cookoff. In short, I did not like this beer. It had a strange vegetal-minerally nose, and a flavor that masked and twisted all hop or malt essence. Earthy, if that is a positive trait, but I could hardly get it down after having worked at a Belgian Beer bar with many of Belgium’s finer liquid goodies. Barreras (121), Diamond Bar, California, USA Nov 6, 2009 Pours a golden amber color with minimal tan head. Aroma of sweetness, and rich roasted hops. Taste of honey and caramel. A nice subtle sweetness throughout. A good Belgian Ale that I would drink again. fsbw21086 (67), New Jersey, USA Nov 6, 2009 Light but crisp beer. Nice carbonation and nice subtle flavors. This tastes like it was brewed very delicately with quality ingredients. Little bit of honey, carmel, malts and faint hint of hops. This is a good one. Gonna drink 5 more now seeyalaterrrrr Hermod (245), Vantaa, Finland Nov 5, 2009 Tap @William K, Helsinki. Pours copper, reddish color with a nice creamy white head. Hard to find any aroma at first, after a while I could notice fruits and perfume.
Quite sweet taste with some caramel and malt. Finishes dry. Probably won´t be trying this one again. Cole (264), , Alberta, Canada Nov 4, 2009 Pours amber, Tall white head, low retention. Aroma is sweet and malty, with a candy like aroma, Malty and fresh, not a bad beer but a little boring. Nice to drink it would be a great sessional. stouby (1931), Holbaek, Denmark Oct 31, 2009 Bottle at restaurant in Brussels.
Brown with a light brown head. Aroma moderate malty (brown sugar, dark fruits), light hoppy. Flavor moderate sweet, light bitter. Medium body. MullMan (1079), Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA Oct 29, 2009 on tap at the Iron Horse, Westwood NJ. Deep golden colored body, lightly amber at the center. Not much head, thin & foamy light tan. Aroma is honey, corn malt, also husky and grassy. A little citrusy too. Flavor is dry and grassy malt, yeasty and grainy, a little tangy and citrusy. Crisp carbonation. Haven’t had this since 1991 and my friends thought it was skunked back then. They just didn’t know what it was supposed to taste like. kappldav123 (1788), Markkleeberg, Germany Oct 27, 2009 The bottle looks very simple, the beer in the glass a bit darker that exspected. Starts mild, grasy-hoppy, fruity notes of peach and apricot. Finish modest sweet. Quite drinkable. Average!
