I was surprised to find this beer in the local grocery and it was a rather good choice bogus (25), Zeist, Netherlands

It had a strange vegetal-minerally nose, and a flavor that masked and twisted all hop or malt essence. Earthy, if that is a positive trait, but I could hardly get it down after having worked at a Belgian Beer bar with many of Belgium’s finer liquid goodies. Barreras (127), Diamond Bar, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 6, 2009 Pours a golden amber color with minimal tan head. Aroma of sweetness, and rich roasted hops. Taste of honey and caramel. A nice subtle sweetness throughout. A good Belgian Ale that I would drink again.
