Amber beer, white head. Aroma of caramel, malts. Flavour is soft caramel, sweet malts, a slight metallic taste, hops. Dry and soft mouthfeel. WISEGUY572 (1246), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 8, 2008 Certainly not my favorite Belgian or my favorite brown ... more of an amber colored light tasting light mouthfeel brew. Beautiful amber with a foamy white head. Saved by an interesting nutty fruity back story that I did not anticipate. spkevin (65), Doetinchem, Netherlands

This beer has a very good aroma and a nice colour (dark golden). the beer just looks very nice. the taste is ok but it has a strange fiinish/aftertaste. could be better. expected more from this. good replacement for when you don’t want to drink a pale lager/pilsner. maybe going to drink it again. iammarc (193), Inverness, Scotland
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jul 29, 2008 A bland Belgian beer, which comes as a surprise by Belgian standards. A bit fruity, not much though. If anything, a thirst quencher - at a push. plovmand (1692), Helsinge, Denmark

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jul 7, 2008 Sample at San Diego Brewing Company. This beer is a clear orange-ish color with a medium thin and creamy off-white head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing. The aroma is fruity and spicy. Medium-bodied with a soft mouthfeel and flavors of tart fruit and spices. Touches of yeast as well. The finish is mildly spicy and short. Slightly below average overall. jredmond (1039), New Jersey, USA

Pours dark amber pretty clear, with white head. The aroma is pretty light - some sweet notes. The taste is smooth and not really dry finishing as the menu description suggested. Not bad. Listed at 6% abv on the menu as well.
