Flavor more of the same, pretty dry, not too appealing, slightly dirty. Palate was nice, clean, but with some body, rolls around nicely. Overall, just didn’t enjjoy it. Reminded me of an Orval gone awry. BREWMUSKCLES (1077), New Jersey, USA

1/11/09- Bottle. Drinkable, but certainly not with the flavor/complexity that comes with a Belgian Ale. Light body and just a twing of bitter- really not much to it for a belgian ale. Remember it much better on draft. mirjukka (705), LOHJA, Finland

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 11, 2008 Good caramel dark appearance, scarcy foam and good smell to toasted barley, but no conection with taste, Taste starts with agresive bitterness and ends soons, so after a second nothing remains in my palate.

| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/20 | May 31, 2008 draught @ the rake. Smells like standing down-wind a maltings. Clear amber, white lacing head. Tastes like horse-feed, a bit like old fermenting barley in an old barn next to a long forgotten dray-horse. Not badly made, just not my taste... I’m not a horse. bhensonb (4334), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 30, 2008 Tap in Antwerp at: Le restaurant Noorderterras on the harbor. Dark amber color with a frothy beige head that laces. A light oaky aroma? Near medium body with creamy carbonation. A herbal/caramel flavor. The herbal flavor runs through it. Finishes rather dry, with reminiscences of fruit. Suspect this is a common beer, but it drinks very well.
