Flavours: quite sweet, smooth, almost no bitterness. Drinkable, although the sweet aftertaste leaves a oily layer on the velum. Jerre (1755), Waregem, Belgium

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 26, 2007 From my notes 6/4/2007 on-tap - one-finger off-white head that fades quickly to a ring leaving a good lace. Clear amber color. Malty nose. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Flavor is a mellow caramel with hops in the background, clean finish. €3.25 ($4.45) for a 330ml glass from Three Sisters Pub Amsterdam, NL. TaxiDriver (935), Stadland, Germany
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 26, 2007 Bottle. Moderate hoppy, toasted malt, light smell of ginger. Light brown colour, clear body with a small fully dimishing head. Sweet flavor, medium duration. The body is rather light than medium, the texture is dry and the carbonation is very flat (nearly missing). Not my kind... TheGrandMaster (1860), Auckland, New Zealand
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 25, 2007 Bottle, amber-brown with a large frothy head. A sweet malt aroma. Some lat flavour, smooth and easy to drink. Not really special when lined up against a lot fo Belgium beers, but deserves a good rating. Stew41 (1052), Caulfield, Australia
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 24, 2007 Kinda like Stella said Frank (Vanvelo) and he’s not far wrong (in a ’this ain’t no craft beer from Belgium’ way of course). Dark amber in colour with a thin but persistent head. Ok, fair start. Low excitement note with some ok amber ale style malt character; pleasant enough. Sweet gets dumb in the mouth and take a very simple, slightly gluggy form. Just very simple malt sweetness and not much else. Fizzy palate reminds one that this is maco beer. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 14, 2007 The color was strong copper amber, and there was a medium creamy head. The aroma showed orange fruit and bitter hops. The start was sweetish with light malt and fruit, and there was a a medium bitter hop finish. This beer had fairly light simple flavours, but was fairly pleasant and clean. tenghave (402), Taastrup, Denmark

Gylden øl, som minder om Tuborg classic - bare stærkere.
