It is equally as smooth with some additional use of hops for a unique belgian flavor. Grovlam (3810), Copenhagen, Denmark

Good lacing found in glass. Body was cloudy with some particles. Color was light muddy brown. Aroma was yeasty (sweat, barnyard, leather), with other notes being perfume, citrus, grain, caramel. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Flavor was light bitter-sweet which was ok balanced I thought. Short to average duration of finish. Very drinkable. Lots of citrus fruit, malt, hops. Very zingy and fresh. Really liked it, good session beer I’d imagine. AgentGobshite (25), peachland, British Columbia, Canada

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 6, 2007 Palm Hergist, 75 cl bottle, ’bbe’ May 07. Dark amber with a faint haze; a rich yet not lasting white froth. Dry, malty aroma with a light fruity note and a touch reminiscent of a mixture of old caramel and dishwater (I thought the glass was clean :-)). Malty, drier than non-bottle fermented Palm; less hop character, too. Timid body. faroeviking (6107), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands

Drank on 7/4/06 in the can on the train from Brussels to Amsterdamn. At the time I thought that is was potentially the last belgian beer I would have for a long time while still officially being in Belgium. Poured with a huge frothy head from a green can. Not a bad brew but not great, hard to justify the three stars given in Tim Webb’s "Bible"
