Pours dark golden with a mostly receding off-white head. Aroma of light honey, very mild, some graininess. Taste is hoppy and fresh, quite nice. Also slighty grainy with a neutralizing papery taste. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a slightly resinous quality.

Bottle. Nice amber body with average carbonation and a good off-white bubbly/frothy head. Decent malty/hoppy aroma with woody and grassy notes. Taste lacks complexity but is well balanced. Ends with a good bitter finish. Average "everyday ale".

Tastes really bad on tap at the pub near work, yet everyone drinks it. A bit better from the bottle. There are better options.

250ml bottle at <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/Places/ShowPlace.asp? target=blank>St. Veronus in Peterborough, Ontario. Golden-orange in colour, thin dissipating off-white head, no lacing. The aroma is of light spice, caramel and earthy malts. The flavour has a light caramel sweetness, earthy malts, some light spice. Thin mouthfeel, light body, medium carbonation. Finishes a bit watery with a light sweetness. Weak and light all-around.

On tap. Clear golden/red color. Almost no head. Low-medium carbonation. Not very interesting for a belgian ale.
