Light brown cola-colour, live with bubbles floating up a long time after pouring. The head is long and sits on the sides of the glass. Faint aromas of sth. sweet, berries, sugar? Quick attack in the flavor, sparkling hops and yeast. Long finish. No too good, better than an average lager but absolutely nothing special. xproudfoot (729), Paleolithic, Pennsylvania, USA

Clean aroma, a little ’cheese sharpness’ to the flavor, no metallic flavor, a little ’bottom yeast/corn’ flavor still. PRetty and reddish-amber. I thought it was a lager though, not a belgian ale, so I’m docking it a few points for being a weak belgian ale rather than an above average lager... jhliesen (406), West Melbourne, Florida, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 9, 2006 Draught. A dark copper coloured beer with an off-white coloured head and some decent lace. The aroma is malty but there is some straw like bitterness as well. The taste is nice and malty with crunchy cereal like flavours. I have always liked this beer in the past and find it the most British of all the Belgians. EithCubes (2163), Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 25, 2006 Tap on Antwerpener Grote Markt.. Poured a beautiful amber. Very malty, pleasantly malty beer, smells malty with a bit of must, tastes malty with sweet fruitiness. Crsip and refreshing. Nicely matched with cheese. Great everyday beer. beervana (781), Libertyville, Illinois, USA

Bottle labeled best before 7/2006. Poured clear brown with short-lived large white head. Soft carbonation. Sour sweet malt aroma. Medium bodied Belgium ale that starts dry with slight malt sweetness and fruity/toffee flavors. Finished dry with light malt fade. Dry and refreshing. A good drinkable Belgium ale that went well with Grandmother’s style mussels.
