Malty, sweet, hoppy.
Smells and tastes like sweeter English ale with caramel malt and fresher palate. ogivlado (3082), Zagreb, Croatia

Clear brown-red-orange colour with good suds lacing. Sweet hop malt flavour although too simple (easy drinking).Thickish mouthfeel, but sweet malt hops die away quickly. darkko (99), Kingsport, Tennessee, USA

Didn’t come on too strong. Nice floral notes and hop bitterness. Refreshing. gilles13 (2), France does not count | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 22, 2005 certainly one of the best everyday beer a bit bitter but with a delicious caramel taste. bask (305), Leuven, Belgium
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 22, 2005 Updated: Sep 5, 2005I’ve drunk both a recent and a two years over date bottle of this beer. The recent beer has a colour somewhere between chestnut brown and amber. It has a medium-sized white head. The aroma is floral hoppy, with raisins. Some earthy maltness could be noticed too. Some soap in the aroma, but not annoying. The flavour is dominantly bitter, but it has gentle sweet notes.
The old beer has a more amber colour, and lots of particles are floating in the beer. Malt cognaccy aroma with hints of alcohol and apples. Apple flavour, but a bit watery. A stronger, both sweet and warming, aftertaste.
The points given are for the new beer, the rating for the old beer is ar: 4, app: 1, fl: 3, pal: 3, overal: 5, total: 1.6. bkurtz (276), Peru

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 19, 2005 Draught. Copper coloured, big foamy head. Cranberry aroma with hoppy hints. Hoppy malty flavour with weak hints of fruit. Pretty boring for being Belgian...
