Commercial Description:
PALM Ale has long been one of Europe’s top-selling specialty beers. Made with English hops, French Barley, and Belgian yeast, PALM represents the best of European beer-making traditions. It’s the roasted Champagne Malt which gives PALM its amber color, but without being heavy. Also available bottle-conditioned as Palm Hergist.

Had this every night for six weeks while working in Nederland since this was the best choice at my hotel, guess I become a bit used to it and found a few qualities here that’s not to obvious by the first impressions. Body is dark golden with a fine white head. Aroma is quite clean malty with some hops. Flavor is refreshing and pretty distinct malty in balance with some caramel and bitterness with a certain degree of fruitiness. It’s not a word class beer, but giving it a fair chance it’s very smooth and balanced. It works as the first beer after some long ours work and it actually also work as a nightcap after a late dinner with a handful of trappists.

Bottle. Pours light amber with a small white head. No detectable aroma, taste is sweet fruity, no hops presence, dissapointed.

Pour is golden reddish with a thin white head. Aroma is malty and a little fruity...not too much in the aroma. Taste is smooth and sweet with some fruit and malts. Very sweet and delicious.

Bottle courtesy of Phil @beermerchants. Pours amber/golden. White head doesn’t last long. aromas of malt, pears. Sweetish texture. Fruity, malty flavour. Finishes sweet and very mildly hoppy.

Tap @ Tigin’s in Stamford, CT. Sweet flavor comes strictly from malt and the texture is very smooth and velvety. Hops are almost nonexistent.

Pours a clear crisp light hue with a big white head. Aroma like everything else is very average. This is my first offing from Palm and I’m not impressed.

Got this at Peculier Pub in the East Village, came in the nice glass and all that. Pours amber color with a creamy looking white head. Not much to the smell, which was mild: malts, a few hops and some yeast. Very slightly sweet, especially with the fruitiness right in the middle. Then the finish of the beer goes to a dry taste. Definitely has a few stages of flavor, but overall nothing overly impressive.

draft came in the nice palm glass has a light amber color and a thin coating of white head. aroma has mild malt, sweetness, bitter hops, and some bread. light mouth feel leads to a mild malted beer, complementing sweetness, mild bitter hops, and some minerals. smooth and nice session level.
