Body is dark golden with a fine white head. Aroma is quite clean malty with some hops. Flavor is refreshing and pretty distinct malty in balance with some caramel and bitterness with a certain degree of fruitiness. It’s not a word class beer, but giving it a fair chance it’s very smooth and balanced. It works as the first beer after some long ours work and it actually also work as a nightcap after a late dinner with a handful of trappists. gunnar (577), Sandnes, Norway

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 6, 2009 Got this at Peculier Pub in the East Village, came in the nice glass and all that. Pours amber color with a creamy looking white head. Not much to the smell, which was mild: malts, a few hops and some yeast. Very slightly sweet, especially with the fruitiness right in the middle. Then the finish of the beer goes to a dry taste. Definitely has a few stages of flavor, but overall nothing overly impressive. blklab2007 (964), Connecticut, USA
