Commercial Description:
PALM Ale has long been one of Europe’s top-selling specialty beers. Made with English hops, French Barley, and Belgian yeast, PALM represents the best of European beer-making traditions. It’s the roasted Champagne Malt which gives PALM its amber color, but without being heavy. Also available bottle-conditioned as Palm Hergist.

Nose has malt, fruit and yeast, amber, fair sized white head. Taste is a strong alcohol/malt mix with some apple. Medium bodied, slightly harsh. Ordinary stuff.

draft - Pours dark yellow and clear with a white head. The aroma is mainly pale malt. It tastes of sweet malt with very mild hops. This light bodied brew is rather lacking in flavor and unfortunately made me think underwhelming macrobrew.

Under the name Palm Amber at the local beer bar. A nice, easy drinking, session-type of beer, which is a good alternative to a german pilsner. The same skunk type of flavor, but with a fair amount of malt to balance it out. Very little, almost no, hop flavor. Don’t seek this out if you’re looking for big, bold flavors; rather, seek it out if you want an esy drinking, moderate alcohol content beer to enjoy over the night.

A nice refreshing amber. Enjoying this one with Rolfie, ArmEd, and Tommy Waves at the first barbecue of the season. Aroma is malty/yeasty, taste has a little bit of hoppiness and malty sweetness. Color is very light copper, flavor is a little bit on the watery side, somewhat mass produced. Decent beer overall.

On draft at Esplanade Bier Markt. Light amber in colour with medium carbonation. Subtle aromas of mild orchard fruit, bready malt, and icing sugar. Dry and refreshing in the mouth, with a suggestion of fruity Belgian yeast and a bready finish. Quite drinkable. Surprisingly good.

Bottle from Ron’s. Dark straw copper pour with white head. Hopcitrus, pale malt nose and taste, with no off tastes or aromas, and late caramel, but not anything great. I question any rating above 2 for this, unless I got a bad bottle, which I find highly unlikely.

Bottle. Not much to say about this one. Aromas and flavors were more along the lines of a Belgium Bud. Drain pour.

On Tap. Pours a deeper golden amber, slight medium white head. A mild aroma and flavor. No huge distinctive notes in palate or flavor.
