Dogbrick (2165), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jul 7, 2008 Sample at San Diego Brewing Company. This beer is a clear orange-ish color with a medium thin and creamy off-white head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing. The aroma is fruity and spicy. Medium-bodied with a soft mouthfeel and flavors of tart fruit and spices. Touches of yeast as well. The finish is mildly spicy and short. Slightly below average overall. jredmond (583), New Jersey, USA Jul 1, 2008 Draft @ BXL between 6th and 7th ave. Pours dark amber pretty clear, with white head. The aroma is pretty light - some sweet notes. The taste is smooth and not really dry finishing as the menu description suggested. Not bad. Listed at 6% abv on the menu as well. Don’t ask me how, but I could tell from the tap handle it was going to be bad... and I was right. I don’t know how they get away with calling this a belgian ale. It was like yeasty water.
