Molasses, ink, ketjap, pastry caramel sauce, and some leafy aroma’s. Slight oxidation. Bitter-dryish taste, with a burnt caramel finish, Maillard. Liquorice flavour and burnt. Very slightly sulphurous. Very well-bodied, thick & viscous, with a very light tartness, dry-out. Alcoholwarming, mainly in the aftertaste. Very special & strong Doppelbock. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and cowberries. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of cowberries, leading to a dry end. Nice. Papsoe (10580), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 12, 2006 (Bottle 33 cl) Dark mahogany with a reddish tint and a creamy, beige head leaving some laces. Malty, lightly nutty aroma.
