Sep 29, 2006 A nice stout with a deep dark color. liked the flavor and the finish. This was a very nice stout did seem to be a tad watery. Whished this had more umph in the chocolate and coffee flavors. Good brew needs some work.

Dec 31, 2005 I enjoyed this slightly out of the way joint. The tap pour was pretty dark, almost black. By the time I got the glass the head was a minimal dark tan. Big roasty choco-malt nose. More dark roasty malt in the flavor, maybe just a tinge of espresso. Medium-bodied to start...seemed to thin out considerably. Bitter finish was nice. Very adequate.

Oct 12, 2004 Pours black with a very thin tan head with thin faint lacing. Chocolate aroma with coffee notes. Dark coffee flavor with malt notes. Dark and dry palate.

May 6, 2004 Syrupy molasses character. Stark overtones, very bitter, like chewing on tree bark.

Oct 27, 2002 Draught. Body is black. Aroma is moderately malty (roasted grain, mild coffee, dark bread). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, slightly husky. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
