12oz bottle acquired in trade with ughsmash (thanks!). Poured a medium and slightly hazy orange color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of oranges, lemons, caramel, and got some vegetable. Tastes of caramel and citrus. Started of sugary sweet and ended in a lighter grapefruit finish. Thinner body.

Pours a transparent bright orange amber with a large, airy, clingy-lacing off-white head. Aroma has some lightly sweet caramel malt and a touch of floral grapefruity hops. Body foams up upon contacting the tongue revealing some earthy toasty caramel flavor and some mild, citrusy bittering hops toward a peppering, slightly tart finish. Seems muddled and not very assertive for an IPA. Needs more fresh hoppy flavor and balance.

This pours a pale orange body with lazily drifting bubbles and a modest white head. Not bad in the lacing department. It smells of tart oranges, tangerines, caramel, and a drop of grapefruit. The flavor is a sweet caramel with a touch of citric bitterness. The label claims this to be "A fully-laden India Pale Ale," (?) but this seems more akin to an APA.

Amber to light copper colored liquid. Taller, bleached bone colored head. Some small fine lace. A fruity granola bar sort-of aroma. Grains of oats and toasted malt mix with some peaches, grapefruit zest. Lots of sweet toasted grain in the front, with a mild balance of un-ripe fruit bitterness. A odd sort of mix with raspberries, rhubarb, grapefruit pith and burnt grain. Quite dry and bitter inthe finish. Interesting and somewhat traditional, but the bitterness in the linger is really getting to me.

Bottle from Belmont Party. Poured a clear amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate sweet citrus hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and lively carbonation. Medium bitter flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration. This is an average drinkable brew.

Dark straw/light copper wire pour with nose of hops, florals, malt. Tastes caramel malty, with faint hops, citrus, and some floral and spicy notes, Good, but not great. Does get a bit astringent late.

12 oz bottle from the Woodmans on Gammon Road in Madison, WI (August 2006) consumed at cellar temperature from a Corsendonk glass. Dark amber-gold with a thin off-white quick-fading head and a trace of lacing....apricot, caramel and blood orange well-mixed in the nose, with warmth whiffs of anise and cherry wood arise....mellow, very well-balanced on the tongue, acidic fruits and bready light sour malts, a pleasant understated resinous character, only lightly bitter at the front ranging to strongly so at the finish...faint metallic hints compromise things somewhat, but overall this is quite solid.
