twindadplus2 (359), Wisconsin, USA Apr 22, 2008 Cloudy coppery brown with a good sized, creamy, off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt with a bit of sweet citrus. Flavor is grain and mildly tart citrus with a candy sugar and light piney bitterness at the end. A bit mild but definitely not a bad IPA
mabel (1673), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 21, 2008 [1607-20080816] 12floz bottle. Sweet maple yeast and wet grains aroma. Slightly hazy, light brown orange body with a big long-lasting foamy off-white head. Hoppy sweet malty maple flavour. Medium body. Fair.
(@ Cole’s IPA Festival; Buffalo, NY) jerc (3217), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 19, 2008 2008-08-16. Hazy orange body with a small off white head. Aroma of muddled hops, grainy caramel malt. Flavour has similar grainy character, light astringency, sweet citrus waves goodbye into the finish after it had barely arrived. (6+) Average palate. Meh. Bottle, Coles IPA Festival, Buffalo
swoopjones (1179), Buffalo, New York, USA Aug 18, 2008 Bottle @ Coles IPA tasting. Worst of the day. Bottle could be aged. Bought @ Sams in Chicago. Pours a murky, cloudy. Wierd aroma of plastic & very little malts & hops. Taste has some sweetness, tea. Overall poor xnoxhatex (791), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jun 23, 2008 Bottle from Discount Liquor, Milwaukee. Really fluffy white head with lots of lacing on top of a clear, amber colored body. Really strange hop aroma, a little grassy and floral, but just strange in general, sweet malt breaks through the hop mess as well. Nice amount of bitterness, but once again the hop flavor is really strange grassy but wierd, it also doesn’t work with the sweet malt body and a little lemon, bleh. Medium, syrupy body. Wierd, just plain, wierd. NobleSquirrel (688), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 4, 2008 This is, how you say, a colossal disappointment. This ranks right up there with Summit IPA in terms of not goodness. I can’t figure out how this is an IPA. Super malty and flowery, minimal bitterness. Reasonably clear copperish color. Some roast character in the back end, but the bitterness is lacking. Meh.
