It pours a cloudy dull orangish-yellow with a small, somewhat fizzy, white head that diminishes to a ring around the edges of the glass. The flavor starts with moderate banana along with some nice wheaty citrus notes. The finish is lightly spicy with some clove and pepper. Medium-bodied with lively, but somewhat soft, carbonation. I’m not getting any vegetal notes that many have been previously mentioned. This was a free sample bottle given to me in what I believe would be an attempt to break into the MI market...maybe it’s not the same beer everyone else is buying? I don’t know, but it sure seems solid enough to me. Obviously New Glarus is king when it comes to American-made Hefeweizens, but this is better than any other American bottled non-NG Hefe that I’ve had. In my opinion, if you like Hefeweizens, it’s definitely worth trying. Birdiebeagle (788), Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 14, 2007 Hazed to cloudy light golden color with a quickly diminished white head. Fairly dry aromas with a touch of pale malt, wheat and just a hint of herbal hops. Pale malt and light sweet wheat start. Middle has some bubblegum and a little banana flavors with a bit of yeast. Fairly dry finish with a touch of acidity. Seems like a Dancing Man Light. Quite drinkable seems that the parts are so small that it is harder to make the sum greater then them, but this one seems to work.
