Slayer85 (582), Firenze, Italy Dec 29, 2007 750 ml bottle. A cloudy dark golden beer with a small and fast disappearing white head. The aroma is malty, fruity with a light flowery hop presence and a light sourness. The flavour is also malty and fruity with a balanced acidity and some citric and orangey notes. Medium body, lively carbonation, light hop bitterness in the finish that is enough long. This beer has all the Panil characteristics, especially the balanced sourness. An interesting and respectable product. boboski (1095), Alabama, USA Oct 25, 2007 A solid stream of carbonation results in a slowly receding off-white head. The body is lightly hazy, deep orange, muddled ambers. The aroma is predominantly yeasty, with mild pepper and wheat malt notes glimmering in the dusty remnants of freshness - but this isn’t old beer. Fruit notes follow, releasing hints of orange and passionfruit that surrounds a base malt profile that is mostly raw cereal grain and fresh wheat fields. DMS is noted, moderate, and a steady distraction and turn-off. The flavor is rustic and fruity. Pepper isn’t well-integrated at all. Malt is solid without overwhelming. Sweetness is mild, bitterness low to mild, acidity mild to moderate, balance achieved. The finish is crisp, malty, lightly toasty, lightly bitter and steadily drying. Alcohol is well-concealed throughout. The palate is well carbonated, light-medium bodied, somewhat smooth. Fizziness and all-too-apparent DMS limit the quaffability, but this would still suffice as an adequate session beer since the pros and enticing malt character far outweigh the flaws. Decent. mgumby10 (1844), Jupiter, Florida, USA Oct 25, 2007 Courtesy boboski. Pours a fairly clear standard orange, with a smallish off white head. Smells ofsome cereal grains, light malts, and maybe a little cinnamon sweetness in there as well. The flavor was dominated mostly by malts, had some sugary sweetness, and a little grainiess to it too. Pretty easy drinking with decent flavor. Session beer. Nothing special or exciting, but very drinkable. CapFlu (3480), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Sep 23, 2007 (750ml bottle) Shared with Shannon and Ben. Pours a lasting almond head with a cloudy amber body. Yeasty, pepper and fruity nose. Very smooth lasting vanilla and white pepper flavour. Good but a tad plain for this brewery. beerbuzzmontreal (2909), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Sep 20, 2007 Pours a cloudy amber color with lots of yeast in suspension and a medium white head. Aroma and flavor of fruits and peppery yeast. The palate is light and creamy whilie the carbonation is soft. It’s not a bad belgian ale at all, but Panil is capable of way better than this. ENGLISH TEXT HERE On "Agreste" label for Eurosaga, no problem in uncorking - at the contrary of many others who have seen half bottle go away into foam; very Orval-like nose with deep fruity notes but omnipresent savage yeast and hops. Flavor anyway very sweet with a little aggression and sour/acid finale which completes the tasting experience; not a boring brew at all, in fact something to try. daniele (1640), Italy Aug 29, 2007 ambrata non molta schiuma poco persistyente aromi di pane luppolo poco persistente non molto amara joergen (8429), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 2, 2007 Bottle, thanks to Alex.
