"Bonus" beer at FoBAB ’07. Finally get my lips around an Italian beer by artisans, not Heineken wannabes. A brown color steaked with red (Thanks, FoBAB, for a solid glass taster!) A warm tart beer smell with a nudge of wine grapes. Flavorful and lightly sour. Just a bit of Jolly Rancher, cider, Belgian malts, and oaken mellowness. Buona!

Aug 18, 2008 A mild sour ale with subtle flavors of vinegar, sweet fruit, and oak. Thin and watery. There are more flavorful offerings out there, and this one did not live up to its price tag (15$).

Aug 18, 2008 750ml Bottle: Sour aroma of fruit, acid, and wood. Poured amber/brown in color with a large, fizzy, creamy, beige head that lasted throughout. Hazy. Sparkling. Full of tiny particles. Sour flavor. Tastes of fruit, oak, cherries, vinegar, and acid. Medium body. Slightly watery, chalky texture. Soft to average carbonation. Sour, oak and cherry finish.

Aug 18, 2008 (2007 batch #8 bottle #2191)brownish/red body with a nice white head.nice aroma of sherry,wood,lemons,funk,and cherries.flavor is much of the same with funk standing out just a bit more.very complex with a dry finish.

Aug 16, 2008 Brown bodied with a tan head. Sour aroma, lemons come through, and a note of caramel. The flavor is sour, tart, and lightly bitter toward the end.

Aug 14, 2008 2006 bottle. Pours garnet with a very small white head. Vinegary, somewhat grapey aroma with oak undertones. Rich on the palate, with brett, almond, some vinous berry flavors, and oak. Too much oak on the finish kills the thing. Before it all falls apart, though, it’s great.
