Bottled at RBESG. Cloudy dark brown. Flowery, yeasty, oaky aroma. Sweet with soft, gentle mouthfeel and some banana. The oak adds to complexity, but does not overpower the subtle flavours. Lightly salti finish. Subtle and very complex, not at all what I expected, but a beer that grew on me with each sip.

[Bottled RBESG 2006] Thanks to Knut Albert for bringing this delicasy to Göteborg! Murky yellow colour. Aroma is loaded with this and that: herbs, cheese, berries, almond paste. Wonderfully sourish, yet pleasantly and laid back so to speak. Flavour is apple cake with a smooth mouthfeel, with sparkling caramel notes. Fluffy mouthfeel. Very complex. I prefer this mild version, it seemed to be more complex than the sour version.

A muddy reddy brown coloured beer which poured with no head. The aroma has some background fruit and some typical Flemish Sour woodiness. The taste was very clean and oaky with good woody cherry fruit notes. Very tasty and a real good take on a Flemish Sour, as usual the musty characters dominate but in a very drinkable fashion. I liked this although the aroma was lacking somewhat.

Sweet malty and floral, lavender tones with plenty of woodiness but no obvious sourness. Medium body is lightly warming with moderate but soft carbonation. Very enjoyable.

Huge nose - cherry aromas, yeast - yum. Murky brown color, with a cream clingy head. Soft cookie-like malt, with hints of toffee and a light vinegar tinge. Sourish end. Medium body. Just a high quality beer. Sophisticated. Not too aggressive, but great balance.

Sweet malty cherry aroma with a strong woody character. Cloudy caramel brown with strong tan head that recedes slowly to partial cover with some patchy lacing. Sweet malts, dark cherries, and floral, lavender tones with plenty of woodiness but no obvious sourness. Medium body is lightly warming with moderate but soft carbonation. Very enjoyable and not at all what I expected going into this. Bottle sampled at GBBF 2005.

Bottle at Mentana 104, Parma.Dark brown colour, some sediment and a light khaki head. Complex sweet and sour fruit nose with vanilla. Vanilla flavours matched by ood, sweet and sour fruit. Dry finish. Good carbonation, warming alcohol. A masterpiece from Italy.

Bottle@GBBF 05’. Initially i was going to give this closer to mid threes, but it really grew on me. Woody aroma, with some barnyard and berry characters. Palate is soft and acidic (and quite long). Woody, with light touches of chocolate and berries. A touch salty in the finish? It actually kept surprising me with new textures and flavours on every sip, well done!
