Dark brown-orange and hazy. Aroma of flowers and soil. Flavour of soil, flowers, fertilizer, grapes, boiled fruits and plums. Acidic and somewhat alcoholic with some sweetness.

Corked bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival 2007 afterfestival at Per’s
Cloudy amber color; big head (in the decanter); nice lace. Really strange aroma: chemicals factory, some plastic, light barnyard, malt… Flat mouthfeel, some residual sugars, some malt flavor; light fruity flavor too (red grapes?), medium strength, alcohol warmth, winy. Very weird, but if taken in good mood it’s very good.

Bottled. Cloudy reddish amber. Soapy perfumy nose with sme cherries. Medium bodied with soft mouthfeel. Lightly vinous with notes of barnyard and plums. Complex and quite fascinating.

Bottled. A hazy dark orange beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of fruit - especially peaches, and strong notes of grapes, combined with lighter notes of wood and metal. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of fruit again peaches being strongest combined with notes of wine grapes combined with a rather dusty note - is that the hops? leading to a dry and somewhat woody finish with just a touch of acidity. The mouthfeel is very soft due to low carbonation - it feel more like wine in the mouth, though without the alcohol. I thin just a bit more acidity would make this world class.

ChrisFest Dry wheaty aroma edging toward Lambic but softer and woodier. Hints of fruit - refreshing with notes of sweetness. A lot of flavour movement within the soft woody tannic range. Quite fascinating and quite delicious.

A Mes rate: Bottle (unsure of the size) at Chris O’s extravaganza. This is odd stuff but I quite liked it in a similar way that licking a battery is fun. Fruity nose with so so much wooden character. The nose leaves a lingering tinge of paint stripper and creosote that I’m not sure is enjoyable. Can see where Mark’s "licking a fence" quote comes from. Flavour is definitely better but very similar. Tastes of old barrels giving it a lovely woody sourness. Interesting but not amazing.

Beautiful clear amber body, big bubbled beautiful white head; Somewhat fresh aroma, fresh fruits, barrel and actually some hints of Spanish cider with a little dry sherry on top; Thin fresh bitter body, with a little fresh carbonation; Sour apple like aromas in finish, as well as some dry sherry and very apparent barrel, long and bitter fresh, a very little lactic acid. Quite nice beer with a very strange freshness to it. Thanks Phil!
