Aroma is fruity and citric with some musty and funky touches. Acidic on the palate but not as sour as expected. Turns out this was the European "sour" (I.e. not so sour) version. Still good but the continuing practice of only releasing less sour version in Europe is irksome. The search for the real sour stuff goes on.

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 3, 2007 Dense foam, friable and lively. Much persistent and similar to wine like Bonarda and Lambrusco. Dark red color, nearly mahogany, dense and impenetrable; much elegant one. Extremely complex and rich scent. Notes of wet wood, blackberry, wine and spices. Richest, from meditation. Decided and strongly taste characteristic. Powerful alcoholic notes with rumors of forest fruits. Lightly acidulous on the end. In mouth it’s large, wrapping and elegant. Great structure and great scents balance SoLan (1426), Orlando, Florida, USA

Mild version of the US sour- less sour and more oak. Oak is dry and toasty. Medium body, well carbonated, easy to drink. Very nice. fiulijn (7420), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 9, 2007 Corked Bottle Courtesy of Profane. Probably the travel by car from Parma to Switzerland and then to Sweden was having some impact on the bottle, as a lot of foam keeps flowing as I open it. Muddy light amber color, big head, leaving a blotchy lace. The aroma is initially strong, getting mild later, with a nice sourness, bretts, cellar aroma; soapy too in the end. The body strength is medium, with light malt flavor, some residual sugars, lemon fruitness, some sourness. Pleasant, but not biting enough. OleR (2095), Oslo, Norway
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 24, 2007 750 ml bottle. A cloudy orange-brown beer with a thin tan head slowly fading to a ring of foam. Initial aroma of farmyard, wood and yeast, followed by a pleasant sourish and acidic fruitiness. Taste starts quite sour and tart. More mellow acidic fruit-flavors (cherries, lemon and unripe berries) towards the end. Surprisingly light-bodied considering the style and the 8% abv. Dry and lively mouthfeel. Lots of sourness and fruity acidity in the finish. Nice. Bov (5478), Bienne, Switzerland

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 11, 2007 Bottled at RBESG thanks to Knut Albert. An unclear orange beer with a thin orange head. The aroma has very strong notes of fruit and lesser notes of mold and some acidity. The flavor also has strong notes of fruit - especially oranges and peaches on a medium acidic back ground, leading to a dry tart end. The acidity burns slightly in the throat. larsniclas (3387), Gothenburg, Sweden

Hazy amber with a small and bubbly head.
Sourish in both aroma and flavour. Some nutty hoppiness but all-in-all too thin and bland.
