Slightly hazy copper in appearance. Medium palate with nice carbonation. The taste is lightly sour with some black pepper and yeast tastes coming through. Citrus flavors throughout. More restrained than the American version, but still very tastey. rlgk (3378), Vårgårda, Sweden

This beer is a brown murky beer with a medium palate. It has a very lightly sweet fruity flavor with a small amount of carbonation. Easy to drink. spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 1, 2007 Cloudy amber/orange pour. White head is firm and absurdly steadfast. The carbonation that is so vigorous as to hold this head high, for so long, would later prove to be an annoyance in the mouthfeel. Aroma is mild for a Flemish sour, enticing anyhow. Still has plenty of funk. Yeastiness is on middle ground, neither intrusive nor poignant. Fruity notes are subtle and very complex. Plums and berries dominate. Incredible mustiness in the flavor seems like it’s been replicating inside the bottle on an ongoing basis. Lemon and moderate acidic notes are unpleasant and foreboding of the zesty funk that roars forth in the finish. Palate is very carbonated, overly so, giving this a zesty, medium-full bodied mouthfeel. Whilst drinkable, I’d prefer the version exported from Italy in any setting, or with any culinary diversion. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Apr 17, 2007 Aroma: mm...wonderful, apples (really old), sourish, lambiclike, grapes, wonderfully musty, reminds me of La Trappe, vinous, incredibly complex, cask, vanilla...cognac...
Appearance: very foggy, brown/orange/grey. Some creambeige, thick foa,. Very pretty.
Flavour: wow, strange. Punschy. Sweet, sour and mashy, very good and different, fruity, milky & fresh. Appearant seed.
Palate: wonderful, refreshing, very full-bodied and yet thin and sort of old. hopscotch (5504), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 10, 2007 Bottle... Murky golden ale with a huge, wispy, white head. Terrific retention. The nose is soapy, lightly funky and acidic with a small spritz of perfume. Tart, tangy flavor, but the acidity is much more restrained than in the U.S. version. Lightly sweet, caramel malt pokes through the pungency to make an appearance. Medium-bodied with a coarse mouthfeel and prickly carbonation. Tart, lightly bitter finish. A shout goes out to boboski for supplying this beer! pilsnerrogge (1786), Finspång, Sweden
