Earthy towards vegetable aroma. Thin mouthfeel. Flavour is mild watery and mild roasted malt. Ends vague and some watery acidic roasted note. Bland and boring, mouldy, earthy and rotten wood. I was looking forward to this anticipating a beer that couldn’t be that bad - it was worse :( fonefan (11640), VestJylland, Denmark

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jul 22, 2007 Bottle, 4%. Slightly sour, woody, old paper aroma. Almost black colour. Small light brown head. The flavour starts off mouldy. Has old paper flavour, distinctly 40s newspaper from the attic. The oak barrels giving this mouldy flavour? Quite watery too. Why so thin? The late finish is OK with some roast barley bitterness. Perhaps at 6 or 8% ABV it would be a good beer. joergen (8610), Frederiksberg, Denmark
