diabel (1209), Aarschot, Belgium Sep 24, 2008 Bottled at Bruxellensis Hazy, blond body. Off-white, creamy head. Soury, aroma of citrus/oranges. Nice, well balanced aroma. Moderately sour, lightly sweet flavour (again fruity of citrus (orange/grapefruit) and grapes). Great, refreshing beer, but not too sour. JoeinUccle (689), Brussels, Belgium Sep 16, 2008 Bottled at Bruxellensis. Hazy yellow color. Nose was tart and lemony, lightly musty, with an odd floral-herbal tinge to it. Tastes tart, lemon-zesty. Still there’s that herbal edge and a slight bitterness that don’t fit the picture somehow. Nice, interesting and surprisingly easy-drinking though. JorisPPattyn (4499), Antwerpen, Belgium Sep 9, 2008 Stupendously huge, fne, off-white head over light hazy yellow beer. Blackcurrant leaf, valerian, very outspoken touch of mint. Very fresh smelling (lemon rind). Lemony taste, with a spicy flavour on the palate. Very slight Bretty. Very sparkling, light body, but falling a bit dead flavourwise at the end. This is a " cousin Germain " of Isabelle Proximus. It seems all the plambics of the world are evolving in this direction. This is the first batch, consequent batches being pretty different! Mille grazie, Monica & Davide! Ole_R (1279), Oslo, Norway Aug 16, 2008 375 ml bottle. Big fluffy white head, mostly diminishing. Cloudy straw-yellow. Aroma of sour green apples, strawberries and mouldy cellar. Fruit-flavored; tart, acidulous, sweet and sour. Quite rounded, actually. A fresh grassy bitterness is lurking under. Spicy tones. Filling. Nice tart, fruity-acidic ending. I like it a lot. Skinnyviking (2726), Copenhagen, Denmark Aug 16, 2008 Bottle. Low and quickly disappearing white fluffy head. Hazy yellow thick looking boldy. Dry dusty fruity aroma. Strong fruity lemon grapefruit flavor but without the very vinegar taste of some Belgian lambics. Low carbonation, short aftertaste.
