nbutler11 (729), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Apr 28, 2009 On tap at Papago. Pours a honey color with a frothy white head that leaves grogeous lacing. Smells of bananas and vanilla yogurt - no, really. Tastes of crisp red apples, mild pie spices, green grapes, and sours only with a little lemon juice on the finish. Very unique and oddly refreshing for a sour. eaglefan538 (2355), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Apr 24, 2009 Oak-aged spiced Belgian Sour on draft at Papago as the 8th anniversary brew. Pour was golden colored, thin carbonated head, decent amount of carbonation bubbles steadily rising to the surface. The aroma was strong cherries, slight oak, no spices, some floral notes. The flavor was strong cough-droppey cherry syrup, bland watery beer/malt base, some chamomile floral type notes, and high carbonation. It was kinda like a flavored water, oak, and tartness in the background, but way overshadowed by the cherry medicinal notes. Dang, I was really excited about this one until I smelled it, but I finished it nonetheless.
