aromas are typical i suppose... bananas, clove, caramel, yeasty richness and an alcohol sting.
the flavor is pretty similar but with the addition of tooth rotting sweetness. there is a somewhat spicy dry finish but, for the most part it is a sugary tripel. which, in my book is a bad thing.
the body is full with residuals yet fairly creamy.
i’ll wait for the bottles and hide them for a couple of years. sweet tripels=yuck!6/3/4/4/13/3.0

Quite dark looking for a Tripel. Taste is amazing. Very refreshing with Belgiany funk, as a Tripel should be, however the finishing gravity is a bit high and it finishes a bit too sweet on the palate. All around a really solid beer and very enjoyable. Would definitely order again. bigbeersrule (58), USA

Usually beers in the 10% plus range are too sweet but this one is done very well and is quite drinkable with some pepper spices. Very yeasty like a lot of van steenberge brews but a great addition to Papago’s lineup of beers. They said they would have bottles of it in a couple of months, will be a great one to lay down and age. rustychiles (1053), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Pours a caramel color with a nice white head. Aroma of yeasts, candi-sugars, cloves, malt and hops. Flavor is sweet, a little banana clove, touch of spices. Pretty good, but a little cloying.
