Commercial Description:
A full-bodied beer similar to a barley wine except that the primary ingredient is wheat, which gives it a nice smooth honey like taste.

Clear deep golden brown. A bit floral, a little vanilla. In a word, cidery. A mellow tangy finish with a bit of sulphur. A lingering edge on the side of the tongue. I’d have sworn that this was a cider if I’d closed my eyes.

On tap at Papago.
Orange amber with a nice white head. Aroma is sweet fruits with a bit of alcohol in the background. Flavor is sweet but not overpowering and alcohol seems to be well hidden. not bad.

tap-Scottsdale beer fest-pours a cloudy orange hue with a nice white head. honey, vinesous, oak, cherries, and other various fruits come from the aroma with subtle notes of grain/hay. Flavors are sweet with lots of wheat esters. body is different and this isn’t your typical barleyewine. nice job!

Had this on at Papago on tap. Body was clear with average head and no lacing on the glass. The barley definently brings out the citrus aroma. Went good on the palate.

Apricot. Aroma of honey, toffee, caramel and apricots. Tastes of toasted oak, toffee, honey, caramel, bread and banana. Seemed to have an oak influence. A good wheat wine, though it wasn’t quite as good as other wheat wines I have tasted.

Strong pale ale genes trying to bulk up with alcohol proteins…Wheat malt is sweetened by fruitiness, such as peaches and apple juice…Earthy hops attempt a rejuvenation but fail to affect the aroma and taste very much…Not a specially tasty number, but still raises an eyebrow…

This interesting beer pours a caramel brown with a good white head. The aroma is not overpowering, but you do get a good wheatiness out of it. This is very dry for a barleywine. The flavor has a lot of biscuit flavor from all of the wheat, but not a lot of fruitiness. Dangerously easy-drinking for such a big beer.

This beer is an amber color. Fruity aromas come from my glass, there are notes of cherry, and a bit of astringency as well. The alcohol that is in this beer is evident in the nose as well. The alcohol is evident in the taste as well. This wheat wine has a finish of banana, it is not incredibly strong but it is a definite contributor to this beer. The beer is lightly sweet, with not much bitterness, and a nice firm body appropriate for sipping. This is a nice interpretation.
