I love barleywines and this is a beer that they say because of the wheat doesnt have to age like a barleywine. Gold, strong and highly alcoholic, 9.6% I believe. Not a typical wheat beer.
-------& just had a new batch made with cognac barrel oak chips. Simply incredible beer. A must try for any big beer drinker. boto (1349), Granby, Connecticut, USA

Fruity candy nose. Candied apricots with traces of malt and alcohol. Overall way to sweet. JohnC (2288), Mission Viejo, California, USA

Cask seemed a little warmer than I am used to, almost the temp of firkin I thought. But that was nice as Apparently no one in the desert sells beers from a firkin.
Great, sweet honey flavor. The alcohol is masked very well, but it really packs a punch. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA

Nose is sweet, citrus, lightly floral, tad yeasty, malt and quite ’Sniffable’. Front is malt sweet, the top is middling, finish is surpassingly
hopped, thoroughly dry, and the high abv makes this a joy to ’Quaff’ Ranks a respectable #177 on my current 1000 beer masterlist 40oz (181), Newport Beach, California, USA

This has the sweet maltyness of a big barleywine but the wheat twang balances the sweetness well and makes this a very refreshing beer. The whopping 9.6% is appreciated.
