Mar 22, 2002 I doubt that trappistale who wrote an earlier review has ever been to this place. If he had he would know that these guys know beer and serve it at the right temperature and in the right glass. This beer rocks.

Oct 1, 2003 Updated: Sep 15, 2004I have to give this beer high marks. I love barleywines and this is a beer that they say because of the wheat doesnt have to age like a barleywine. Gold, strong and highly alcoholic, 9.6% I believe. Not a typical wheat beer.
-------& just had a new batch made with cognac barrel oak chips. Simply incredible beer. A must try for any big beer drinker.

Mar 13, 2002 A sweet almost sugary aroma with a tinge of alcohol to it. A nice full mouthfeel. The tasting is sweet in the front with a wonderful balance of bitterness in the middle and an increasing dryness in the end. Outstanding!
