bigbeersrule (58), USA May 16, 2009 Another quality brew by Papago. On cask. Aroma of black malt, chocolate and some subdued coconuts. Black and opaque. Flavor was that of chocolate and coconuts. Almost like a greman chocolate cake. Very tasty. hellbilly (1492), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA May 15, 2009 on cask and absolutely atrocious!
they took one of the bad batches of el robusto and dumped some fake coconut flavoring into it giving it an icky syrupy mouth feel. soapy nose, weak watery flavor and terribly thin body (like i said... a bad batch of el robusto to start out with). the toasty aftertaste cannot make up for such blasphemy!4/3/4/2/7/2.0 nbutler11 (727), Phoenix, Arizona, USA May 15, 2009 On cask at Papago. Pours a roasted black color with a nice mocha head. Smells like a dessert. Loaded with coffee grounds and semi-sweet chocolate. Tastes of each with added notes of cream and coconut syrup, like you might find at a coffee stand. A tad too sweet for its own good, but a definite treat.
