I had this at the Great Arizona Beer Festival in Phoenix. Nicely malted but kinda watery.

Earthy maple syrup lathers its pungent wealth onto the boisterous nut oil…Delectable perfume reminds of a cross between Saranac’s Caramel Porter and Rogue’s Hazelnut Brown…Thick mouthfeel renders the caramel malts beautifully and plays off the maple syrup vapor with aplomb…Maybe a bit strong on the sweet nuttiness, but if you like decadence and nourishment like I do, you won’t be complaining with this one…Definitely my favorite of their lineup…

This beer blows Roque's hazelnut away. You get a boatload of Hazelnut aroma and flavor. Reminded me of Frangelico. The beer is a little on the sweet side but for a fruit flavored beer this one passes muster. The brewer at Papago creates great beers, too bad they are only available on draught.

The beer as it resides in the glass a deep brown, head impressive in size, frothy in texture, and the left over lace a thick glutinous sheet to smother the glass. Lots of malt to start, nutty sweet, crisp and fresh with hint of the hops, front ambrosial, top middling in its feel to the palate. Finish wickedly hopped, delightfully acidic, droughty long lasting aftertaste, and one find “Brown Ale”, another winner from “Papago”, eat your hearts out as it’s “Draught Only”.

(draft) Dark brown with minimal head. Aroma is light hazelnut and malty. Tastewise, hazelnut is noticeable but not overwhelming. Strong malty flavor, lightly roasty, balanced by light sweetness. Nice nutty finish. Very well-balanced beer, with medium body. Nice interpretation of the style.

Cask 01-31-03 Deep brown color with slowly dying light tan head. Strong, sweet nutty aroma. Starts out with a huge hazlenut flavor that slowly glides into chocolate. Finishes very smoothly with very little aftertaste. Tap 02-01-03. Drinks a little differently. Same looks. Hazlenut aroma not as pronounced. Also the nut comes thru more in the middle. Finishes with more of a hazlenut aftertaste than cask version
