SuperDave70 (720), Arizona, USA Aug 13, 2008 On tap at Papago. Deep amber brown pour with a creamy small head. Aroma and flavor are loaded with fruit, dark cherries, pomegranate, plums, apples and cranberry sourness. Also a bit of spice, wood and alcohol on the very dry finish. Nicely balanced between sweet and sour, with both coming out at different times. Really good stuff! nbutler11 (108), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Aug 8, 2008 Poured a deep plum color with an off-white head from the tap at Papago. Loaded with spices (most notably cinnamon), apples, and plums--much like a cider. Crisp with mild carbonation. ajm (304), USA Aug 5, 2008 Tap at Pap. I was impressed. I am an outspoken fan of the Orange Blossom, and even I think this is the best beer they brew (especially now that Orange Blossom is sugar water). Aroma sets up the beer perfectly, with a round sourness of black cherries, plums, and heat. The color is a dark ruby that I have never seen equalled. Flavor is gorgeous, with the same fruits as above, wood, minimal vanilla, and no alcohol whatsoever. This is the rare beer where I say "Yeah, this actually needs to be sour." Cheers, guys. This one’s a bullseye. DenverLogan (420), Oceanside, California, USA May 24, 2008 Nice tulip glass...copper brown...minimal head. Slight sour grain aroma...big sour fruit flavor, with melon rind, lemon zest, oak, slight sweet notes, rich, complex. On tap at brewery. bu11zeye (3628), Frisco, Texas, USA Apr 12, 2008 (Draught) Pours a lightly hazy deep amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of vanilla, wood, light citrus, raisins, dates, and brown sugar. Flavor of vanilla, apricot, brown sugar, and red plums.
