Commercial Description:
Pardál Světlé Výčepní Pivo 9.7°
Traditionally, the strength and beauty of the Czech brewing industry lay in the wide variety and uniqueness of its product range. Budweiser Budvar, N.C. decided to go against this trend and enrich the Czech beer culture with a beer of a new, original flavour particularly suitable for the typical Czech beer consumers. Therefore the brewery invited the real consumers, i.e. those who are fond of beer and have experience in its consumption, to take part in developing it. For several months, the aroma, colour and flavour were being tuned in the brewery. Combining traditional brewing skills with the experience of Budweiser Budvar’s brewers and challenging ideas of many beer connoisseurs resulted in the creating of the present Czech beer idol – “Pardál” beer, the perfect beer for sharp and full bitter flavoured beer lovers. The true beer for groups of friends who can label it : “It’s one of us!”

Bottle. Golden, white cream, low visible carbonation. Sraw nose. Grainy front, straw notes, enough hops to cover it, grassy hop finish. Light pine and citrus retronasal. Comes over as one-dimensional though. Medium to light body, sparkly mouthfeel. Maybe on a hot summer day.

Bottled. A dark golden beer with a fast disappearing off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with a touch of caramel, and so is the flavor. The finish is dry with a touch of metal.

0.5l bottle that ogivlado got somewhere in Plzen and shared it (thanks!)
Poured a fine golden colour topped with a medium sized thick white head that went away at a medium pace. It smelled ok, malty, a bit honey and grainy. Very light dust. Honeyish, malty taste, refreshing, simple acidic hop bitterness, some biting carbonation. Finely made, but nothing special and a little overcarbonated.
