Feb 8, 2006 Cask (gravity) at the Melton Mowbray CAMRA festival 2005. Fairly plesant bitter; decent robust brown body, some gentle fruits and hoppiness in there, dry finish, ticks all the boxes.

Sep 1, 2004 Bottle conditioned, from The Offie in Leicester. Red Bronze, slight gushing, good fluffy white head that soon collapses and gentle condition. Low nutty aroma with some traces of fruity hop and low roasted notes. Quite bitter and nutty in the mouth with a faint fruity edge and quite a hefty yeastiness. Lingering nuttiness in the finish, with harsh hop and yeast bitterness developing.

Apr 21, 2004 Dark brown beer with a good head, and a hopped aroma with a coffee like finish. The flavour is very dry with a chocolate feel. Overall a good quality beer.
