Commercial Description:
Wonderfully hoppy pale ale with a bold malt flavor, followed by an assertive aftertaste, brewed for the British-style ale lover. Park Trail Ale is brewed with the best English two-row pale malt, aromatic "Fuggles" hops, and fermented with our special ale yeast.

Light orange-yellow, sticky white cover. Lightly floral aroma, caramel. Taste is lightly metallic, caramel, floral hop bitterness.

Pale orange, just didn’t look quite right, little head. Lightly floral and citric nose, some caramel. Flavor is hoppy, mostly floral, with the faintest hint of infection present. Sediment floating happily in the bottom of the glass, almost like proteins. From a draft??? Disconcerting.

I made three visits to the tavern this month and each time have had the pale ale and it has been right on the money. True to style, with a very similar feel to what you can get in british pubs, albeit not cask. But the mouthfeel and carbonation is right, contrary to most US ales. In the past I have been disappointed with their ales but something has definitely improved here. I know they are brewing these cause I can smell it sometimes!

Comes out of the tap a clear golden amber - not remarkable, but at least appetizing. Malty aroma has some fruity and spicy hints. Solid flavor is mainly malty and surprisingly hoppy, and only mildly bitter. Texture is smooth, tingly, and satisfyingly sassy. Nothing spectacular, but worthy.

Hazy dark blonde. The aroma is fruity with some brett. There’s a definite infection, but mostly it’s brett, maybe a little pedio. At this point, it’s at a nice, happy level. A week later and this will probably be terrible. But at this particular moment, the infection is going well with the fruity hop character.

Hazy peach-orange color with small off-white head. Smells like Brett, and the bacteria blends well with the hops even though it is unintentional. Medium-high carbonation is prickly. Dry, thin finish. The hops almost come across as being those in a Belgian IPA because of the nuance added by the bacteria. An accidentally good brew.

Aroma of orange citrus and light hoppiness. Slightly cloudy, light orange color. Lightly hoppy, with a hints of orange and grapefruit. Some characteristics of a hefeweisen. An easy drinking beer best consumed on a hot summer day.

On tap at brewpub during lawschool prom. Got a kind of soapy metallic hop experience. Very thin and pale yellow color. Reminded more of a pils than a pale. The fuggles are not my favorite but they are apparent and there. Not going to fault anyone for using hops I don’t like. The malt profile could be a little more exciting though.
