dark with ruby edges, frothy tan head, sweet milk chocolate aroma, lots of rich sweet chocolate flavor, almost enough bitterness to balance, caramel and butterscotch sweetness, right or wrong I still like chocolate and butterscotch as a combination,

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 22, 2007 On cask at the 1/27/07 Atlanta Cask Ale Tasting listed as Robust Porter: Pours a barely transparent dark mahogany with an airy coating of dark tan bubbles. Aroma of lightly sweet earthy malt with a touch of dark chocolate. Body starts fairly sweet and caramely malty with a touch of black cherries before a toasty dark malty finish. A nice porter. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 25, 2004 Deep brown with reddish highlights, small thin head and little lace. The aroma hints of hazelnut, raosted caramel malts, lactic sourness, floral hops, and earthy yeast esters. The taste is sour (almost lambic like) and is very staight forward. Malty mocha and nutty undertones. Smoky and light bitter finish. This thin-bodied brew produced a fizzy and watery mouthfeel. The lactic nature is a turn off, not as good as expected, dirty lines or aging batch? goldtwins (4080), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 31, 2005 Poured a dark brown color. Roasted malt and chocolate aroma. Flavor same with the addition of coffee. Light body. the trouble with these beers are that the flavors and bodied are too light. Sammy (4000), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 10, 2008 Fresh batch just tapped. The rating is of the second sample, as the first one was poured into an appropriate but soapy tasting glass.
Choclate and coffee nose. Dark brown with soapy mocha head and good lacing. Better as warmed to room temperature from the cellar. A lively carbonation. Creamy bove-average mouthfeel. A bit like an imperial porter.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 3, 2003 This is almost a perfectly balanced porter if that is possible. Flavors are really upfront on the first taste, giving away everything it has to offer and not saving anything for later. Lots of malty chocolate/carob hints with some coffee roastiness that give it a nice mellow creaminess and a luscious velvety feel in the mouth. A must try. ChainGangGuy (2564), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 12, 2008 Appearance: Near black body with reddish edges and capped by a small, off-white head.
Smell: Mild aroma of unsweetened chocolate and sweaty dark grains.
Taste: Dark malts with some hints of semi-sweet chocolate. Herbal hops. Earthy bitterness at the tailend.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Mild carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel.
Drinkability: Well, I’m sold. A decent porter. aracauna (2385), Georgia, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 28, 2007 This dark brown beer seems to be struggling a bit. It’s thin in flavor, but sugary. It may have some quality control issues much like the beers at Park Tavern the last time I visited.
